LEADING THE DYNAMICS: HOW TO “READ THE ROOM” AND SHAPE THE DYNAMICS OF TEAMS AND ORGANIZATIONS

Being an effective leader means interpreting, understanding, and carefully managing human behavior. By knowing how to identify, explain, and effectively respond to the nuances of group dynamics can be the difference between success and failure.

Leading others from a position of authority means dealing with people – human beings with myriad moods, emotions, work ethics, and worldviews. Not all of this is immediately obvious either; it can simmer beneath the surface and play out within a group or organization in many different

ways and at different times. Nor is it static – attitudes and approaches can change on any given day. It also can be profoundly affected by the leadership style of those at the top.
