WHAT IS YOUR SOLUTION? We used IMD’s 5s2 framework to make sense of our panelists’ experience. To lead people through transformations, leaders need to connect them with the purpose of the company. A common, shared experience among our panelists was that defining a winning culture mobilizes teams. Another important insight: companies need to hire people from ecosystems that drive tomorrow’s business. Furthermore, as a business leader, you need to act with intentionality – if you build in flexibility, you need to be prepared to manage the trade offs. And finally, as a leader, you need to take your job seriously, not yourself.
