Businesses and their leaders should lean in to defend and strengthen democracy. This includes leading their organizations with democratic principles – transparency, inclusiveness, and a rejection of arbitrariness, to call out blatantly undemocratic behavior, and to advocate for democracy to the extent possible.

Churchill called democracy the worst form of government… except for all the others that have been tried. Democracy has its flaws, but too many of us take it for granted. At this moment, it needs a robust defense. Let’s not wait until it is too late.
